Spiritual Accompaniment
In Spiritual Accompaniment or Spiritual Direction, we create a safe, brave and welcoming space for you to tune into the deeper currents of your life, and listen for the invitations that are waiting for you.
In a session, we spend an hour together. I’ll hold the space for you: listen to you and listen with you in the stillness. I’ll ask you questions, share what I’m hearing you say, and listen some more. Your role is also to listen – to the wisdom within your own heart—and to share as you are moved.
I meet with folks both in person and on Zoom.

Spiritual Accompaniment is a safe place for spiritual exploration, especially for those who are not at home in traditional religious spaces:
Folks who identify as LGBTQI+
People who have experienced trauma in a spiritual community
Spiritually seeking atheists
People on nontraditional spiritual paths
All are welcome at Journey Toward Light.
Spiritual Accompaniment is for…
someone who is a little (or a lot) lost and wants a guide to help them find their path
someone who experiences a nudge to pay more attention to part of their life they’ve been neglecting
someone preparing for some sort of change or transition in their life:
someone who hungers for a deeper spiritual connection
anyone who wants to reflect more deeply on the movements of their life
anyone, from any tradition
Spiritual Accompaniment is not…
professional therapeutic counseling- although it can be complimentary to counseling
coaching: it is not about moving toward a particular end goal. Rather, it is about recognizing the movement of the Spirit along the path.
